Where can you use it?
We are focusing on wireless computing - or wi-fi which can be deployed (and enjoyed) in a number of contexts, both for business and pleasure.
There are three main places where you can use Wi-Fi:
- in the office or on company premises. Not only can wireless networks replace costly and more inflexible fixed wire systems, they can make hitherto unwired parts of your company available for flexible access
- on the move. The most talked about application of Wi-Fi is in so-called 'hotspots', public places where users can get linked up to company networks and the Internet while away from the office
- in the home. Thousands of enthusiasts are already running wireless Internet and home entertainment networks in their homes - and they can also be used for home working applications
